Gandhi Ashram is known as Satyagrah Ashram formerly, and it is situated in Kochrab Bungalow in Ahmadabad. Later it is shifted to the river of the Sabarmati river, and after that, it came to know as the Sabarmati ashram. As per the source, Gandhi ji stayed there from 1915 to 1933; thereafter, Ashram was disbanded, and Gandhi Ashram witnessed many other important events.

Gandhi's Ashram is the perfect place to do meditation and other activities to search for truth and develop fearless life. Gandhi's Ashram has approximately 36 acres of a wasteland full of snacks, but there was no order to kill them and use the land for a specific purpose.

Gandhi's Ashram was founded in 1915 in Ahmadabad when Gandhi Ji returned from South Africa, and the Ashram had been shifted to the bank of the Sabarmati river in 1917. Devotee comes to Gandhi Ashram in the searching of truth and non-violence life under the guidance.

Gandhi ji usually stays in the small cottage known as Hridaya Kunj. It is the place of historic values where visitors can find all the values and thinks that Gandhi Ji used, like a writing pad, writing desk, Khadi Kurta, and some letters.

One of the old guesthouses, names Nandini located at the right side of the Ashram, where guests from all over India and abroad are put up. One can also visit Vinoba Kutir and Upasana Mandir, situated between Magan Kutir and Hridaya Kunj.

One can also visit Gandhi Sangrahalaya, which Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurates in the year of 1903. It has five units and a library with two photo galleries and an auditorium. This Sangrahalaya has so many holy books and sales of other published books and literature. One can visit Sangrahalaya from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including Sunday and other holidays.
